About Us
Our mission at First United Methodist Church-Humble is to make disciples of Jesus Christ by sharing our faith and caring for all people.
How to Join Our Church
We would love for you to become part of our FUMC family. At the end of every worship service, visitors are invited to come to the front of the church to be received as members. There are several ways you can join:
Profession of Faith: You join the church by profession of faith when you are asked to profess your love for Christ for the first time. If you have not been baptized, you will be baptized at this time.
Reaffirmation of Faith: You join the church by reaffirmation of faith when you have professed faith in Christ at an earlier time but have not been part of a church family for a while. You will be asked to renew your commitment to Christ and His church.
Transfer of Membership: You join the church by transfer of membership if you have membership in another denomination or another United Methodist church but wish now to become a member of this church. A letter of transfer will be sent to your former church after you join.
Youth: Youth generally join by profession of faith after completing confirmation classes during the sixth grade.
Methodism Classes: For those interested in learning more about Methodism, classes are offered on a regular basis during the year.
